  • We explain the concept of Asymptotic Freedom and the relation between quark dynamic model(QCD) and non-Abelian gauge theory. The importance of asymptotic freedom for QCD and the essential differences between quark QCD and the straton model are emphasized. We point out that the straton model was a semi-phenomenological model of low energy bound states which did not take into account the dynamical interaction. It has no relation with asymtopic freedom and QCD.
