Abstract
Recent developments in the study of Rydberg H-atom scattering from D2 molecules is reviewed. Experimental results show that both inelastic and reactive scattering are significant, and that nuclear spin is conserved in the former process. It is also found that the reactive scattering with D2 is remarkably similar to the proton reactive scattering with D2. These results show that the Fermi independent collider model is valid at the full quantum state-to-state scattering level.
