Glass-to-rubber transition of polymer film analyzed by scanning force microscopy

More Information
  • Published Date: April 19, 2003
  • The complexity of the glass-to-rubber transition of polymer film is briefly discussed. It is shown that the friction, adhesion, modulus and topography of the polymer film can be observed and measured readily by scanning force microscopy (SFM). The results indicate that SFM is a powerful tool in this area.
