Abstract
From a biophysics viewpoint we describe our efforts in constructing a series of microfluidic biochips for studying the collective invasive behavior of cancer cells in 3-D structures. Our work includes the detection of circulating tumor cells in blood with microfluidic technology. We also discuss the promising future of femtosecond laser direct-writing technology in constructing and studying cancer metastasis in vitro.
