Control factors and mechanisms of Brazil-nut segregation in granular matter

More Information
  • Published Date: October 19, 2011
  • Brazil-nut segregation is a marked phenomena of granular matter. Recently, much attention has focused on the factors and physical mechanisms that influence the segregation. This paper summarizes these factors and the various models of Brazil-nut segregation, indicating their application range and limits. Current research areas and future directions are given.
