A comprehensive survey of three CODATA meetings——modifications of the fundamental physical constants

  • A comprehensive survey of the 1998, 2002 and 2006 meetings of the International Science and Technology Data Committee (CODATA) and their modifications of the fundamental physical constants is presented. The values and corresponding uncertainties of the constants are compared. The main experimental and theoretical advances during each period, especially the effects of three new experimental techniques, are reviewed.
