Abstract

Self-organization is a common phenomenon in soft condensed matter, which often occurs in non-equilibrium processes and results in beautiful patterns. Specific examples include diffusion limited aggregation, pattern formation in Hele-Shaw cells, gelation, patterns in granular materials, and so forth. We will briefly describe these interesting processes in soft condensed matter.
