Solar cells based on organic materials

Recently, more and more effort has been devoted to organic solar cells because of their many advantages, such as ease of fabrication, low cost, flexibility, etc. As their power conversion efficiency increass, they have the potential to become efficient solar energy converters. A review of organic solar cells is presented with regard to materials based on small molecule and polymer, as well as possible methods for optimizing the photovoltaic energy conversion efficiency.
