  • A close relationship exists between physics and geoscience. The Earth is studied by geoscientists, and also by physicists. The Earth opens a wide field for physical studies, and physics, in turn, supplies the theoretical background and experimental tools for geoscience. The two disciplines depend on each other for existence, combine with each other, and develop together.
