Abstract
Graphene, as an ideal realization of two-dimensional crystals, has a promising future due to its unique electronic and physical properties. Many methods have been exploited to prepare high quality graphene. In this article, five main methods are reviewed, including intercalation of graphite, solution-phase dispersion, reduction of graphite oxide, solvothermal synthesis, and coupling of aromatic nuclei. The characteristics of each method are also discussed.
