Abstract
There is a close relationship between free-radical biology and physics. The great advances in modern free-radical biology would not have occurred if physics had not provided the theory and detection technology for electrons. Without the combination of free-radical biology with physics, many people today might not even know what a free radical is. The relationship between biology and physics is discussed from the viewpoint of the development of free-radical biology.
