Interaction between charged particles and 2D strongly coupled dusty plasmas

  • When a ship is moving in water it will excite a "V" shaped wave behind it and at the same time slow down due to the friction of the water. Interestingly, a similar phenomenon will occur when a charged particle is moving over a 2D strongly coupled dusty plasma.
