  • The decomposition of water into hydrogen using solar energy is an important approach for solving the global energy crisis. The principle of water decomposition by using photoelectrodes is described, and new developments in the research on two types of P-N semiconductor composite photoelectrode structure are summarized. Research on oxide hybrid photoelectrodes is also reviewed.
