Principle and applications of electromagnetic launchers

Traditional chemical technology cannot meet the demands of future propulsion development. Launching technology must be updated on the basis of new principles and energy sources, hence the birth of electromagnetic (EM) launchers. Because this technology can be applied to many fields such as national defense and space flight it is developing rapidly throughout the world . We present the history and status of EM launching at the same time pointing out its basic principle and wide ranging future applications.
