Applications of photonic crystals in microwave technology

More Information
  • Published Date: December 19, 2003
  • The application of photonic crystals in microwave devices, especially in high directive antennas and photonic bandgap microstrip structures, is reviewed. Many compact and efficient devices based on such crystals can be designed and fabricated with the aid of traditional microwave technology. Photonic crystals will have very promising applications in microwave communication.
