TWO-PHOTON ABSORPTION PROPERTIES AND APPLICATIONS OF ORGANIC MATERIALS

In recent years, study on the two-photon absorption (TPA) properties of organic compounds has become an important area of research. In this paper, the physical characteristic of TPA organic materials, the experimental methods for the studying of TPA process are reviewed. The applications of TPA, including up-converted lasing, optical limiting, two-photon fluorescence microscopy, three-dimensional optical data storage and TPA micro-fabrication are discussed.
