  • Since its birth, nonlinear optics has remained at the forefront in physics, hosting a wide variety of fascinating phenomena and finding applications in innumerable fields. Here we briefly introduce the principle and development of nonlinear optics as a surface probe, as well as recent progress in nonlinear optical studies on low-dimensional materials.
