  • Mie resonance, based on Mie scattering, is a phenomenon that is caused by the superposition of monopolar, dipolar, quadrupolar, octupolar and higher multipolar modes of radiation.In recent years, artificial acoustic Mie resonances have received growing attention. Acoustic metamaterials based on the Mie resonance exhibit many unique properties because the resonances have a variety of modes. These materials have been applied to many fields such as low-frequency acoustic reflection, negative refraction, rainbow trapping, directivity, and extraordinary acoustic transmission.
