Abstract
The generation and detection of spin currents define the main challenges of spintronics. The inverse spin Hall effect can be used as an effective means for the electrical measurement of the spin current in metallic thin films. We review the investigation of the inverse Hall effect in recent years by four different spin current injection techniques, that is,by nonlocal electrical pumping, ferromagnetic resonance, acoustic wave resonance, and circularly polarized light injection.
