Electronic states in finite crystals

  • 摘要: 传统的固体物理中的电子态的理论实质上是无限晶体中的电子态的理论.但是任何真实晶体的尺寸都是有限的.文章简单介绍了作者最近提出的有限晶体中的电子态的理论的一些背景材料和主要的新结果.其中一些结果和固体物理界的传统看法很不一样.

     

    Abstract: The theory of electronic states in the traditional solid state physics is essentially a theory of electronic states in crystals of infinite size.However, any real crystal always has a finite size. This article gives a brief summary of the background and major new results of the theory of electronic states in finite crystals recently developed by the author. Some of the results are quite different from what are traditionally believed in the solid state physics community.
