摘要: 激光诱导产生的空气等离子体作为太赫兹时域技术中的发射源和探测器,使涵盖整个太赫兹波段(0.1—10 THz)光谱测量成为可能,进一步加强了太赫兹时域技术在研究光和物质的相互作用时的重要作用。文章作者通过实验研究了从激光诱导的亚毫米量级等离子体(微型等离子体)中发射的太赫兹波,并发现这种技术可能大大降低基于等离子体的太赫兹技术所需的激光能量。另外,文中还介绍了其他和微型等离子体相关的未来研究方向,包括利用微型等离子体进行太赫兹探测的可能性。
