摘要: 欧内斯特·卢瑟福(Ernest Rutherford，1871—1937)是20世纪最伟大的物理学家之一，因1911年发现原子核和原子结构而闻名。那之前，他得到了1908年的诺贝尔奖，已经很有名气了。他获得的是化学奖，以表彰他在化学元素嬗变的工作，不是物理学奖。在诺贝尔奖晚宴上，卢瑟福幽默地说道：“我研究过许多不同的转变过程，它们有不同的转变周期，但最快的一次还是我本人——从物理学家瞬间转变为化学家。”
