Interaction of physics and chemistry——physical aspects of organic molecular solids and polymers

  • 摘要: 简略地回顾了有机固体领域中物理学与化学的交叉问题.从孤子、极化子、分数电荷理论到有机材料的光电应用,物理学与化学是紧密结合并且是互相促进的.交叉也会带来分歧,但科学的争论可提出更多、更深入的问题,更加促进学科的发展.

     

    Abstract: We briefly review some physical aspects of organic solids, which manifest the crosslinking of physics and chemistry. Form the theories of solitons, polarons and fractional charge to optoelectronics applications, of organic materials we find that there exists a strong interaction between physics and chemistry, which is mutually beneficial. This interdisciplinary crosslinking could also bring about controversy. However, scientific debates pose more and further questions to be answered, which is essential for the advancement of science.
